"I’ve been using this jacket for a while now and honestly I’m really impressed with it. It’s a seriously well-designed bit of kit and you can tell it’s built for proper offshore conditions. One of my favourite features is the peripheral vision windows in the hood – they make a massive difference when you’re sailing, especially in busy or rough conditions, as you can keep awareness without constantly turning your head. The hood itself fits well and moves with you, which is great when you’re active on the boat. The waterproofing is excellent too. The YKK Aquaseal zip is fully waterproof, so there’s no need for bulky storm flaps, and combined with the neoprene inner cuffs it does a really good job of keeping water out even in heavy spray. It’s also really comfortable to wear. The relaxed fit means you can layer underneath without it feeling restrictive, and the fabric feels tough and durable without being too heavy. The fleece-lined pockets are a nice touch as well – great for warming your hands when it’s cold. Another thing I like is the practical design – there are low-profile cargo pockets and even a shoulder pocket for things like an AIS beacon, which shows it’s properly thought out for safety and real use offshore. Overall, I’m loving this jacket. It’s reliable, comfortable, and packed with useful features that actually make a difference when you’re out on the water. Definitely a great bit of gear if you’re sailing in harsher conditions."
"My Meris jacket fit perfectly. The sizing process on the website was right. First use was in pouring rain on race committee. The jacket kept me dry and comfortable in unrelenting conditions all day long. Worth every penny!"
"As a professional expedition sailor, I literally live in my waterproof gear. I wore these for the first time during the Australian 2025 Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, and they performed well beyond my expectations. Initially, I was concerned they might be too lightweight to stand up to the rigours of offshore sailing; however, not only did they survive, they were extremely comfortable and allowed free movement around the vessel. Highly recommended."
"This coat will be my coastal/offshore sailing jacket. I live in the PNW and sail in all kinds of weather. I like the features of this jacket, especially the inner cuffs, face guard and pockets. It replaces an older Helly Hanson, which had rubber gaskets on the cuffs, and always felt slimy and uncomfortable. I am 5'5", 120 lbs and I purchased a small. There is plenty of room for layering."
"Fits great and is built well"
