On night shift again. Writing under a swinging red head lamp as we glide side long over these 15ft waves, steadily rocking like a pendulum. The moon isn’t illuminating the sky like it was last night. It’s still full, but it’s a warm yellow and slightly hazy behind the clouds, so the usual bright white path casted on the water is non-existent and the night is dark. It’s blowing 20-25 knots on a beam, but the boat handles it well… it’s comfortable enough for me anyway. But an eerie night for sure. We reeled in a nice size skipjack tuna today and made sushi from it. Jade and I sang our hearts out to the mama Mia soundtrack while we rolled the sushi in the galley. Not much more to report. But sometimes that’s the best kind of day. ✨

mustangsurvival foulies keep me warm and dry while adventuring in Greenland and during our Trans-Atlantic passages following the Viking Route from Newfoundland to Greenland to Iceland onboard 59northsailing Farr 65 - Falken.
In this clip I am up at the first set of spreaders watching for growlers and to keep an eye out for shallows and rocks as we tucked into a cove to anchor for the night. I was wearing the Meris Offshore Jacket and the Meris bibs.
I am proud to be an Ambassador for Mustang - Their PFD’s have kept me safe for years and now thier foul weather gear will keep be dry throughout my circumnavigation and side quests.

Been out on the water so much the past month. Been so good to go personally paddling it's something that you don't always get to do as much as you'd like as an instructor.
Something else that happened this month is I've become a UK ambassador for mustangsurvival .With the weather changing so often I've been wearing my drysuit far more than I should of been, I've also been taking my Callan Waterproof everywhere just incase it decides to rain which has come in clutch.
Mustang Survival are a Canadian company that has been making water safety gear for over 50 years. Gear goes through rigorous testing at the HQ within the country. About 2 years ago they entered the UK market and brought this exceptional quality with them.
As it goes into Autumn I will be getting out on the water lots more and in winter I will be hopefully taking some more watersports courses so will be testing and having to rely on my kit even more as the cold sets in.
Will showcase more individually in the future but these are just a few photos from my adventures with teylaaa over the past month.
