Great jacket, colour not as pictured

"Lovely jacket. I haven’t had the chance to test it for warmth but I purchased it for the promised warmth-to-bulk ratio, with the intention of wearing it under a sailing jacket unless there’s no chance of getting wet. Great jacket but the “pacific blue” is not as pictured online. It’s closer to a teal green."

Unfeminin fit

"Every outdoor clothing brand I use (Patagonia, Arcteryx, TNF etc) I am a guaranteed S or occasional XS. Having tried the Torrens in both S and Also M neither of those fit in several places: the arms in both sizes were too short and pulled at the wrist and thumb loop when performing the smallest reach or stretches. The body was boxy and also felt short when reaching which negates use for paddling. Loved the idea of the head elastic but it was uncomfortably tight. Liked the pockets, the lines of the garment were well thought out though the fit was way too big in the waist. The fleece lining is very comfy as is the stretchy outer. I ended up buying your men’s small as though it is much roomier through the torso I can throw it on over my PFD if in a hurry . I also prefer the yellow if the yellow of the men’s as I wish to be spotted on the water. The murky green of the women’s is not great for visibility."

My everyday go-to piece

"Since owning the hoody, I have been wearing it all the time: canoeing when it got colder, in the evening camping, around town, and even in the office when the temperatures is dropping to unreasonable cold. It dries quickly if wet, it is still good for some drizzle, and looks good. Love the hoody - it looks good and is comfy. Best piece!"

I live in this Jacket

"Super light and yet, incredibly warm! Fit is true to size. I am 5'7" and 135lbs and wear a medium. I also have awkwardly long arms, but the inner cuff lining gives me a bit of additional coverage so the sleeves fit perfectly. The fabric is water resistant, easy to clean, and durable (doesn't pill or show extended wear). The hood is fitted with elastic and accompanied with the high-zip collar helps to keep out the cold when conditions get extra chilly--it also helps as a hat saver when the breezes pick up. I wear this jacket sailing, dinghy touring, walking, hiking, and bring it along for pretty much every excursion in between. It packs down small and doesn't wrinkle when thrown into a stuff sack along with other gear. The more I wear it, the more I am amazed just how versatile it is!"
