Musketeer II Crew

Musketeer II Crew

Sailing isn’t just about the wind and the waves—it’s about the people, the grit, and the stories forged offshore. Musketeer II is proof that adventure has the power to bring people together.

At the helm of the Musketeer II, a Contessa 32, is skipper Gavin Lockhart-Mirams, alongside his 14-year-old son Hugo. A mix of seasoned Australian transatlantic veterans and British sailors new to offshore racing joins them: Tim Ellis, Glenn Whitford, Sam Bovill, and Tom Liddell. Mustang Survival is proud to support the crew this season as they take on cross-channel qualifying races, leading up to the legendary Fastnet.

With a core team of six, experience runs deep. Gavin has been sailing the South Coast since childhood, and now, he’s passing that legacy on to Hugo. Originally from Australia, Glenn has spent the last seven years navigating UK waters. Tim steps aboard fresh from his role as a watch leader with the Tall Ships Trust, while Sam and Tom bring recent ocean passage experience to the team.

To take on the challenge, Mustang Survival will outfit the crew in EP Ocean Racing gear, built for the demands of offshore sailing, and Atlas life jackets, designed for endurance, mobility, and ultimate safety in the toughest conditions.
